Your backups shouldn’t live next to your site.

Culacc keeps an off-site copy of your whole WordPress site — database, media, themes and plugins — in the EU, with every version of every file.

The plugin is free in the WordPress.org directory, and a Culacc account includes 5 GB of storage free.

Your hosting Your site database and files Its backups same server One failure takes both changes Culacc, in the EU style.css Today Yesterday Last Tuesday Last month Every version, kept

Most hosts keep your backups on the same server as your site.

That’s convenient until the server is the problem. Then the site and its backups disappear together.

The site is hacked

An attacker who reaches the server reaches the backups beside it — and can quietly corrupt both.

The server fails

A broken disk or a data-centre incident takes the copies with the original.

The account closes

A missed invoice or a dispute with the host can lock you out of everything at once.

What Culacc keeps

Everything you’d need to put the site back: the database and every file you’ve added or written. When a file changes, the old version isn’t overwritten — open your logo or a theme file as it was last Tuesday.

After the first backup, only what changed is sent. A twenty-gigabyte media library moves the few megabytes that moved.

  • database.sql.gzevery table, compressed
  • wp-content/uploads/your media library
  • wp-content/themes/including your own
  • wp-content/plugins/including your own
  • wp-config.phponly if you choose

Set up in three steps

  1. Get a pairing code

In Culacc, open Settings → WordPress and press “Get a pairing code”.

  2. Install the plugin

In WordPress, Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for Culacc, then Install Now and Activate.

  3. Paste the code

On Tools → Culacc, paste the code. The first backup starts within a few minutes.

Backups are half of it. On Tools → Culacc, browse your Culacc folders with previews, add any file to the Media Library, or copy a CDN link with ready-made code that sizes pictures for every screen.

See everything a CDN link can do

  • Made for ordinary hosting

Backups run in short steps and pick up where they stopped, so hosts that limit PHP can’t break them.

  • Works behind firewalls

Your site sends the backup. Culacc never connects to it.

  • Your team, your rules

Administrators decide which roles may see Culacc, start backups or publish links.

  • Many sites, one account

Agencies connect every client site to one Culacc account and see each one’s last backup in one place.

Where your data goes

Backups are stored in data centres in the EU. The site is paired with a token that works only for your account — no WordPress password is stored anywhere. The plugin sends nothing until you pair it, and nothing after you disconnect.

The plugin’s listing on WordPress.org lists exactly what it sends to Culacc, and when.

What it doesn’t do yet

Restoring is manual for now: download what you need from Culacc and put it back. A one-click restore isn’t here yet, and we’d rather say so than surprise you.

Questions people ask

Where are my backups stored?

In your Culacc account, in data centres in the EU — not on your hosting.

Does it work on shared hosting?

Yes. Backups run in short steps and resume where they stopped, so a host that limits how long PHP may run slows a backup down instead of breaking it.

Can I back up several sites?

Yes. Pair each site with the same Culacc account; Settings → WordPress shows them all.

Is my database password sent anywhere?

Only if you choose to include wp-config.php, which is off unless you turn it on. Including it makes restoring easier, and means those secrets sit in your Culacc account.

What happens if I delete a file on my site?

It stays in the backup, marked as deleted on the site. That’s the point of having one.

Put your backups somewhere else.
